Garden Blogger's Bloom day Feburary 2013

Hello and welcome to garden blogger's bloom day where gardeners around  the world show what is blooming in their gardens.

I grew over four hundred red Kalanchoes from cuttings  and planted them along this bed and on another nearer the house.

Starburst clerodendron (clerodendron quadriloculare) putting on an amazing show.

These colourful graptophyllum pictum  awaiting a sunny spot.
Roof repairs are into week five and I am weary.

To see what is blooming in other gardens please go over to Carol at may dreams gardens. Wishing you all a great weekend and happy gardening!

  1. Beautiful flowers!
    Happy Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day!
    Lea's Menagerie

  2. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel where the roof repairs are concerned. Hang in there...almost over.
At least you have lovely blooms in the garden to cheer you up.

  3. Kalanchoes make a lovely edging for your path. What is the name of the smooth- trunked palm next to the clerodendron?

  4. Everything looks so bright and cheerful despite your roof repair doldrums. Hopefully it will be fixed in no time! Especially before the rainy season gets here, lol. Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

    Best wishes,

  5. Hi Helen, that's a lot of kalanchoes. I wonder what you will do with the plants after they flower, as they wont just die like those with winter. We have a few of those, red too, but they seem to have powdery mildews now. You have a big house and a wide area, i bet they are really difficult to maintain.

  6. Thanks for sharing your beautiful garden! I hope that your roof repairs finish up quickly.

  7. Those Kalanchoe borders look fabulous! Your Starburst Clerodendrum really is putting on a fantastic display. It's literally covered in blooms. I hope those roof repairs are nearing completion. Having been through lengthy renovations and repairs myself, I know how it all becomes very tedious and annoying after a while.
