Queen of Siam waterlily
Blue capensis with six flowers
Mona lavender ( plectrantus) I am nuturing.
Cypress vine (ipomea quamoclit) that came as a weed with a plant I bought. This can be seen growing wild along country roads here on the island and blooms around this time of year.
Red kalanchoe now in bloom.
Mamey sapote (pouteria sapota) doing well after the heavy rains we've had. This one was planted approximately 4-5 years ago. This is a popular fruit in many of the islands especially Cuba and Florida.
Chocolate pudding tree (diospyros nigra) doing nicely. Not very well known on the island.
Longan (dimocarpus longan) a popular fruit related to the lychee. It is grown by many rare fruit enthusiasts in South Florida and very common in Asia. This was planted around 4-5 years ago. It took a while to become established and am hoping to see some fruit soon.
Hello and welcome to garden blogger's bloom day where gardeners around the globe post what is blooming in their gardens. Many gardens up north are under snow unless you live in Florida. The UK has been hit with some heavy snowstorms and am sending warm wishes hoping that there is very little damage. To see more blooming gardens please go on over to Carol's garden at May dreams garden
Have a great week folks!
