I am sending very warm greetings to the many of you who are living up North and under many feet of snow. Colours for Feburary

 Teddy is recovering nicely. His thyroid levels are back to normal and his fur is growing back nicely. He has now joined the pack in the house after being away from them for the past six weeks with a badly broken front leg. If you remembered in a past post he was hit by a car in mid December. He walks with a slight limp and hopefully it will become less noticeable when it becomes fully healed.

 Pride of Dominica  aka Bois Caribe (sabinea carinalis) has just finished blooming.

I am so in love with this shrub. I have to thank Maureen Farmer from Floraterra  Nursery who sold me this plant.

 Albert Greenberg waterlilies surround a tiny Dauben.

A special thank you to some very special people who follow my blog, Nick Morgan, Rachel Ramphal, Meta Reifer and Jane Price who have always inquired about my dogs especially Sandy and Teddy.  Jane I haven't heard from you recently and I hope all is well with you. Teddy is recovering nicely and has to go back to the vet in March. He is still on thyroid medication which will be reduced next month and another blood test will be taken when finished. We have become very creative on how to administer his medicine. He is very suspicious when we give him chunks of meat with the medication hidden in it. He has started chewing the chunks and then shaking his head until the tablet drops out. So when all else fails hubby whips out his precious Haagen Dazs vanilla ice cream and drops the pill in. Teddy has no problem with this sweet treat. This dog is just too smart for me.  Have a great week folks.
