Garden Bloggers Bloom Day January 2016

Lobelia
 Chrysanthemums
 Gerbera daisy
 Lisanthus
 Bouganvillea
Papaya, passion fruit and some sour oranges from the garden.

Hello and welcome to Garden Bloggers Bloom Day  where gardeners around the globe show what is blooming in their gardens.  We are still going through a drought and things do not look good for my island home. Even if we get the rains at this late stage it will not help us for this year. Our water is sourced from underground aquifers and it takes many months for surface water to fully penetrate to refill these underground aquifers.
To see more blooming gardens please  go over to Carol's garden at may dreams gardens .
Wishing everyone peace and happiness in this tumultuous world.

Weekend Ramble

Eye candy for sale Chrysanthemums and crown of thorns.

Dianthus and Gallardias also on sale

An early morning visitor that freaked me out. A giant heron it looks like appeared and has been turning up for the past two mornings looking for some food. It has a wingspan of 6 ft or so and is about 3 ft tall.

I had another garden Ramble over the weekend and I would like to thank all those of you who attended. I met a follower of my blog who lives in the UK and Barbados. She was excited to attend because most of the time she can only read about the event. Thank you Anita it was such a pleasure meeting you.  Linda Lewis and her group of friends came by and it was a joy to see a FB friend in person. I was told by many who attended, that this should be a regular event during the year and I plan to do that next year.

Hello and welcome to Garden Blogger's Bloom Day where gardeners around the globe post what is blooming in their gardens.

We have had some rainy days last week but still not enough to fill our reservoirs for next year.  My friends up North are now preparing for their winter season and we down here are hoping for more rain and cooler weather.
To see more blooming gardens please go over to Carol's garden at www.maydreamsgardens.com
Have a great week my friends!
