Hello and welcome to Garden Bloggers Bloom day where gardeners around the globe post what is blooming in their gardens. It is hot and dry, very dry with no rain in sight.  The trade winds are very strong so any cloud mass will disappear quickly. I don't know how much longer my plants can take this drought. Please do a rain dance for me!

Hello and welcome to Garden Blogger's Bloom day where gardeners from around the globe post what is blooming in their gardens. Spring has sprung in the Caribbean. With the recent showers everywhere is green with many shrubs and trees in bloom or getting ready to do so. The Rustic Bajan gardener has been busy with house renovations so many areas in the garden show some signs of neglect with lots of weeds.  If anyone wishes to visit me please bring along a change of clothing and some gloves. I promise I will feed you. To see more of what is blooming please go over to Carol at May dreams gardens http://www.maydreamsgardens.com/  Have a wonderful week friends.

The lusty month of May

delicate white Duranta
white Mussaenda
Barbados Amaryllis  in their glory
potted red Amaryllis giving some quadruple delight
pink apple blossom Cassia (cassia javanica) letting us know that spring has definitely sprung
a new addition to the garden the double red Mussaenda
the Zepyhranthes or rain lilies are out in full force after the May showers

Tra la! It's May!
The lusty month of May!
That lovely month when ev'ryone goes
Blissfully astray.
Tra la! It's here!
That shocking time of year
When tons of wicked little thoughts
Merrily appear!
It's May! It's May!
That gorgeous holiday
When ev'ry maiden prays that her lad
Will be a cad!
It's mad! It's gay!
A libelous display!
Those dreary vows that ev'ryone takes,
Ev'ryone breaks.
Ev'ryone makes divine mistakes
The lusty month of May!
Whence this fragrance wafting through the air?
What sweet feelings does its scent transmute?
Whence this perfume floating ev'rywhere?
Don't you know it's that dear forbidden fruit!
Tra la la la la! That dear forbidden fruit!
Tra la la la la!
