Bloomday November 2012

Can you imagine that I have forgotten the name of this plant? So I am asking any of you who might know to please enlighten me. Whoopee ...it is known as the lipstick plant (Aeschynanthus radicans). Thank you Dawn Barrow!
Passion fruits are in season and I am having to fight off the rats and monkeys.

Hello and welcome to garden bloggers bloom day where gardeners from around the globe post what is blooming in their gardens.  It has been a very hot November so far with no signs of cooling down.
My sincerest condolences to the families on the North East coast of the USA who have suffered loss of life and property from hurricane Sandy,  I wish them a speedy recovery and to be strong. I follow some blogs in that region and I cannot begin to imagine what they must be going through.

To see more blooming gardens please go over to Carol at may dreams gardens.

  1. Hi, I live in Zone 8 and am very interested in growing my own passion fruit. Would you consider sending me some seeds?

  3. Make sure to bait for Mr.rat, but only in places where the dogs won't be harmed by the poison.
My neighbour's almost lost one of their dogs to rat poison last weekend.

  4. I have been following your blog for 2 years now but have never left a comment. So it's high time I let you know that you have been an inspiration to me. My husband and I have decided to retire to Dominica from Delaware and I will be using a lot that I've learned from you to create a garden there.

  5. Virginia..... I will be careful, in fact I will be mounting the bait on the tree nearby.

Ecalibishie...... Thank you and Welcome! I am touched that you have been inspired by my blog. I would love to meet you whenever I am in Dominica and if ever you are in Barbados please come on over.

  6. Your blooms are so lovely--and the passion fruit looks amazing! I've planted ginger lilies but have yet to find one bloom--I'm afraid I need to move them, as it's a bit shady where they currently reside. My sister grows them, and the fragrance is amazing. Your garden is lovely--such a nice site, as ours is quite bland right now. Hope you win your battle of the passion fruits! Good luck!
