Garden Blogger's Bloom Day October 2016

The rains came three weeks ago with Matthew being a young tropical system who later grew into a cat 4 hurricane that devastated Haiti and the Bahamas.

The water receded 2 days after and the ground is still damp in some areas.
These doves hunkered down during the storm in my frangipani trees.
My lone dragon fruit and first from this vine

It weighed a pound  and the taste was similar to a kiwi.
Passion fruits and Barbados cherries are in season.  The cherries make a delicious juice and they freeze well.

Orchids on tree stump finally blooming.
The latest family member rescued from the roadside one rainy night. My little pumpkin is blind with cataracts in both eyes. He is doing well but hasn't yet joined the pack. I was looking for a forever home for him BUT he is so loving and sweet I might find it really hard to let go.

Hello and welcome to Garden Blogger's Bloom day where gardeners around the globe post what is blooming in their gardens. It has been very hot and still. Some rain but still not enough to fill our aquifers for next year. We are hoping that more will come our way. To see more blooming gardens please go over to  May dreams gardens
Have a great weekend folks.
