The face behind this blog

My mother in law Barbs and my dear husband Charles aka Chuck and me.
I have gained 10 pounds over the christmas holidays and am trying to see if it will fall off without exercise LOL . Aren't we all tired of wishing such crazy dreams?

Here I am all dolled up to go to an open garden. Gawd I have to loose those pounds!!!

  4. Hello Danz, thank you for your kind comments. I read in your profile that you are a graphic arts student and a fashionista. I too attended community college as an art student and later briefly as a fashion student. I did manage to go to Paris to complete a stage at Esmod in Boulevard Montmartre. I did an accelerated course for a trimeste in robe du soir and came in top of my class. It was an experience I will never forget. Good luck with your studies.

  5. Hi Helen,
So glad to see your "face" ... but I do remember seeing it in your pond postings, too. You look very lovely in your floral dress! Just did some catch up reading on the fishing village. Very nice captures... I do hope the government doesn't make a mess of it. Government can often makes things worse rather than better. Ahem... but I shouldn't start in on that subject. I may never stop. LOL

Don't be too hard on yourself about the pounds... You are a lovely lady inside and out... Have a great weekend.

  6. Meems you are such a sweetie pie, thanks for your compliments. That dress is one of my favorites and I have to try not to wear it to every thing I go to. (This is a very small island). Not that I really care, in fact it is my my family they are the ones who will ask me "don't you have anything else to wear"? I am trying not to get too serious about the weight but I am soo uncomfortable, I feel that am carrying a load of lead around my middle. i am going to try to use the push mower on other areas in the garden, that really takes off some pounds LOL.

  8. Hi Helen! Great photos ... you look lovely! And I'm not surprised that you're partial to that dress ;)
Helen, dont worry about a few extra pounds gathered in happy times ... the garden soon melts it off and you still have the happy memories :)

  9. There you are!! I've been exploring your blog, trying to learn a few things about gardening, I know this is an older post, but if you do get this comment, would you allow me to email you some pics of my yard and probably give me some ideas on how to move foward with the areas, I am lost at the moment!
